Synchro-Start ESSB

The Synchro-Start Electronic Speed Switches were available in five variants: ESSB, ESSC, ESSD, ESSE-1 and ESSE-2.

The model ESSB Electronic Speed Switch has many years of proven service. lt was engineered to provide a wide variety of features and options including up to four switch points, adjustable reset, a selection of voltage inputs and DC cur­rent tor tachometers.

The ESSB Speed Switch is molded in a rugged NEMA 4 enclosure which provides protection against the rough environmental conditions associated with diesel engines.

Nowadays, the ESSB is replaced by the Synchro-Start electronic or Woodward digital speed switches. We offer complete ESSB retrofit kits.
